The trail was pretty busy early morning, with plenty of pedestrians and bicyclists, but the traffic thinned out once it started to get hot. By noon, we mostly had the trail to ourselves - all sane folks were back in air-conditioned environs.
The trail goes through some beautiful wooded areas, with welcome shading and multiple glimpses of deer coming down for a drink and green plants at the waters edge.
Next time, we will bring down Debbie's bike, and bring along the whole family.
